On this trip you will visit different Japanese Ryokans, learning about their many special features. Your tour will take you from the Japanese Alps to central and southern Japan.
While you travel you will learn about 17th and 18th Century Japanese history, visiting landmarks dating from that period.


As ever, your accommodation will be exquisite and varied - from historic lodges to
dramatic cliff-top resorts. The Ryokans that you stay in will have spectacular lake
or sea views, and you will even have your own private Onsen bath. Your stay will
also involve some nights in western hotels. These will always be exclusive and 5
star, and will even include some of the 'Leading Hotels of the World'.

Furthermore, you will be able to witness Japans' beautiful natural surroundings, visiting idyllic national parks, before later rounding the tour off with an extended stay in the lively former ancient metropolis of Osaka.
